چکیده
ObjectivesTo discover the prevalence of endotracheal tube (ETT) constriction and rostral caudal mispositioning in anaesthetised cats dogs, to identify associated risk factors.Study DesignRetrospective analysis.Animal populationA total 146 cats, 670 dogs.MethodsComputed tomography images head/neck/thorax from orotracheally intubated dogs were visually assessed for or ETT. If was present, measurements cross-sectional area (CSA) ETT lumen at constricted un-constricted locations compared. Location cause noted expected increase resistance gas flow calculated. Animal information collected clinical records. Normality continuous variables via Shapiro-Wilk test. Chi square tests examined associations between variables. Kendall’s tau-b test performed measured size degree constriction.ResultsThe extended rostrally beyond incisors 52% cases; connector within oral cavity 19% cases. The first rib 25.5% 22.7%. Median reduction CSA 7.68% (0.14–64.19%). assuming laminar turbulent 16.5% (0.3–680%) 21% (0.3–1200%), respectively. most common presence a radiotherapy mouth gag. Significant existed mispositioning, extreme brachycephaly. Increased severity more likely smaller ETT.ConclusionsAnd relevance Constriction occurred very commonly this population. Checking is recommended. Radiotherapy gags compression. Smaller are greater severe constriction. Brachycephalic particular mispositioning.

The main goal of this research is studying the causative & effect of deficit budget, money offering and inflation rate in Iran during 1360-1390. The results in long time indicates that the bulk of money has had positive effect & meaning on inflation rate during that time and alteration of budget deficit of the government has also positive effect on inflation but by meaningless impress, in other...
متن کاملManagement of dogs and cats with endotracheal tube tracheal foreign bodies.
Two cats and 3 dogs were treated for an endotracheal tube tracheal foreign body (ETFB) during recovery from general anesthesia. Bronchoscopy was used to remove the ETFB. Animals were clinically normal at discharge. While rare, ETFB can occur upon recovery from anesthesia. Bronchoscopy is an effective way to remove ETFB.

متن کاملThe Prevalence of Unanticipated Hamate Hook Abnormalities in Computed Tomography Scans: A Retrospective Study
Background:It is possible that some hamate hook fractures are not diagnosed or treated, thereby affecting the study of their natural history. Study of the prevalence of incidental hamate hook fractures, nonunions, and other abnormalities on computed tomography (CT) ordered for another reason could document a subset of undiagnosed and untreated hamate hook fractures which might change our under...
